Things didn't improve the next day as we cancelled another landing and continued to find a way through the ice pack.

| Slow ahead |
| Half way towards Greenland |
With no possible landing sites in sight but there was lots to keep us entertained. Two talks in the morning and two in the afternoon as our resident experts pulled out the stops. With our schedule change these were clearly additional talks.
First up was "A Franklin Relic Show and Tell" where the historian and the archeologist discussed some of the things found after the Erebus was found after all these years. Another member of the staff for this part of the trip was an Inuit lady who lived in Pond Inlet, a landfall to come. She showed a film of life in Pond Inlet and was a very interesting individual. We heard more from her later on the journey.
In the afternoon we heard from our bird expert - Introduction to Sea Birds and the wildlife guru - Life and Death in the Arctic.
